This is a working draft, not legal advice. It sets out the arrangement in plain language, but it has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Before you rely on it — particularly the liability and payment sections — have a solicitor read it.

What Saint is right now

Saint is pre-release software for macOS. It is not finished, it will have bugs, and it may change substantially or stop being offered. Treat it as a beta, because that is what it is.

Using it

Saint can see your screen and control your applications, but only where you allow it. You are responsible for what you point it at and for checking what it did. Do not use it to break the law, to access systems you have no right to access, or in a setting where a mistake would be dangerous or irreversible without your review.

You must be 18 or older to join the beta.

Invite codes

Beta access is granted by an invite code tied to your email address. It is for you. Sharing it may mean it stops working for both of you.

The paid beta

If you take a beta place, the arrangement is: a scheduled call of about thirty minutes in which you use Saint and tell us what is wrong with it, and in return a thank-you payment stated at signup, sent after the call. Places are limited and offered first come, first served.

The payment is a thank-you for your time, not wages, and it does not make you an employee or contractor. Any tax on it is yours to handle. If you do not attend, no payment is due.

Pricing

Saint is free during the beta and no card is required. Paid plans are not final; where the site shows a price as undecided, it genuinely is. Nobody is charged without agreeing to a price first, and beta testers keep their access whatever the pricing turns out to be.

Your content

What you do with Saint is yours. We claim no ownership of your files, your work, or anything on your screen. What we hold about you is set out in the Privacy Policy.

Ending it

You can stop using Saint at any time and unsubscribe from any email with one click. We may end access if it is being used to cause harm or to break these terms.

No warranty, and limits

Saint is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. Because it is pre-release software that operates your computer, you should not rely on it for anything critical without checking its work.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Saint. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

These terms may change as Saint moves out of beta. Material changes will be sent by email rather than quietly edited into this page.
